Football

Last night we went to a soccer game in Cardiff. It was against Wales and Azerbaijan, one of those used to be USSR countries. We had really good seats, and best of all, the roof was open. This was in Millenium Stadium, the one we toured. It was really cool to see the roof open and rain raining into the building. The grassed looked really good, and you could tell the players liked playing in the rain. Wales won 2 to 0. It was still a really good game. Unfortunatly the game ment nothing because Wales is already out of the World Cup running. But it was still cool to see a professional game. I also had my first outdoor outdoor pursuits outing yesterday. We went "hill walking". Which is hiking. We went up a total of 1500 or so vertical feet, so it wasn't easy. It was rainging all day, but luckily the wind wasn't blowing. It was a good field test for all my gear I got before I left. It all works very well. I really like my boots. Kept me very dry. The only thing I need now is a waterproof backpack cover. But other then that it was a good day. It was really foggy too. So when we where at the peak, which was right over top a tarn, which is a lake up in the mountains, you couldn't see down, if was just a cliff and then fog, really erie.
